If you’ve been affected by Grenfell and struggle with difficulties such as depression, anxiety and guilt our Compassionate Mind Group can help.
The Compassionate Mind Group is a skills-based group which involves weekly exercises. It is based on the principles of promoting mental and emotional wellbeing by encouraging compassion towards the self and others. Exploring and encouraging compassion can be especially helpful for those of us who struggle with self-criticism and difficulties such as anxiety, depression, guilt, shame and low self-esteem.
Many relationships and experiences play a role in shaping our ideas and relationship to compassion. Therefore, it is important to understand our own relationship to compassion to support ourselves in this journey.
Due to the way our brains are wired, different parts of our brains can be in conflict with other parts of the brain rather than working together when we experience difficulties in our lives. This group will teach you the “3 systems theory” of emotional regulation and exercises and tools that can be applied to soothe ourselves and create positive emotional responses.
The group is open to anyone (over the age of 18) affected by Grenfell.
