Members of the Grenfell community are invited to the two events this Thursday, which Professor Louis Appleby will attend.
Professor Appleby heads up the Mental Health and Safety Centre at Manchester University, and is also Director of the National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Safety in Mental Health.
He has been asked by Claire Murdoch, CNWL Chief Executive, to review the support services currently on offer for the Grenfell community and to share his advice. This will also include looking at the suitability of the current Suicide Prevention Strategy for Kensington and Chelsea.
First event
The first event is a Snack and Chat at The Curve, 10 Bard Road, W10 6TH, from 4pm to 6pm.
This event has been organised by the Kensington and Chelsea Volunteer Centre for World Mental Health Day, and is an opportunity for the community to pop by and meet with Professor Appleby, and staff from local organisations, as well as find out more about available services.
If you’re part of an organisation that would like to attend please book your place here.
Second event at the SPACE
The SPACE is hosting the event Grenfell Community Focus: Share your views with Professor Appleby, from 6:30pm to 8pm.
Places are limited so please RSVP here.
This event is for local people in North Kensington and community representatives, and will provide an opportunity for the community to share their views first hand with Professor Appleby.
The SPACE are asking for local people to complete a short survey here to make sure as many people as possible have a chance to share their concerns.
All your details will remain confidential and will not be shared with anyone.
