We introduced our Grenfell Heroes* to Team of Life, a group offer for young people aged 9 to 16 years old.

The 'Team of Life' is a group offer for young people aged 9 to 16 years old. Using the language of sport, the 'Team of Life' invites young people to identify key support people or 'team mates' in their lives, enabling them to build a sense of social support and collective resilience. The use of sporting metaphor enables young people to strengthen their values, learn skills in tackling problems, and overcoming obstacles, to achieve their goals in life.

Amelia, one of our service user consultants, who are called Grenfell Heroes said of the session, “I’d recommend it because if they’re having rough time, maybe outside, inside, anywhere, they can just come to Team of Life to cheer them up.”

Here's what our young service user consultants had to say.

We can offer brief taster Team of Life sessions to schools or 1 hour/1.5 hour weekly sessions over a ten week period. If your school or community group is interested in a taster session please get in touch.
