The Compassion Focussed Therapy Group is for young people aged 12 – 14 years old and aims to alleviate suffering by learning how to engage our minds and to live in a more compassionate way.

Studies have found that young people who develop a compassionate way of being, report:

•            Positive emotional well-being

•            Being more accepting and less critical of themselves

•            Greater connections with others and their community

•            Are more resilient to challenges and difficult life events

This is a skills-based group which will consist of 10 sessions and will involve interactive activities, learning skills and exploring compassion and how the brain works. The aim of the group is to build resilience and provide the young people the skills to engage with difficulties in new ways that are helpful.
