From 1 August Deirdre Moroney, currently Head of Talking Therapies, will become Associate Service Director for Grenfell and Talking Therapies, reporting to the Kensington and Chelsea Borough Director, Ann Sheridan (as do Grenfell services at this time).
She replaces Ross O’Brien, who is moving to support regional developments in Digital Mental Health.
Deirdre will continue to support the strategic oversight of Talking Therapies across CNWL including Milton Keynes, supported by the Clinical Director and the existing Talking Therapies performance team.
Deirdre has led the Talking Therapies Services in Brent, Harrow, Hillingdon, and Central London for six years and the West London service for last two years; these services deliver great outcomes for patients and patient and staff feedback is really good. She has worked for CNWL since 2009.
Before joining The Talking Therapies Services Deirdre led the CAMHS services in Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea.
Deirdre said, “It’s a real privilege to be able to work with the inspiring Grenfell community and the responsive Grenfell team and continue to respond to the needs of the community.”
Deirdre, married with two children, has spent a lot of time in Kensington and Chelsea, where she has family ties.
“I have always felt a strong connection to this area, and it is privilege to have this opportunity to work in Grenfell.”
