The Grenfell Health and Wellbeing Service is looking for young people between the ages of 8 to 11 from North Kensington, to help us improve our services for children.
It’s a great opportunity for children to grow their confidence, learn new skills and make a positive difference by helping to shape services to meet the community’s needs.
All children from the community aged 8 to 11 are welcome to join, even if they have not used our services.
Fun events will be held throughout the year, including virtual reality, games and art sessions, where we’ll ask the children to share their opinions, experiences and thoughts with us.
Children will receive a £10 Westfield Voucher for every event they attend.
To sign up please call Sofian on 07707296399 / 0207 504 5114 or email sofian.taghi@nhs.net
More information for parents here.
Our first event will take place on Tuesday 12 October, from 4pm to 5.30pm. Spaces are limited so book now.
Sara Northey, Children’s Therapy Lead at the Service said:
“We have really valued the input of our teenage young ambassadors and adult service user consultants, and would like to extend the project to include the voices of younger children aged 8 to 11. We want to make sure our service is shaped around what they say is important to them. The challenge for us is to try to engage the children in ways that are fun and interesting, rather than lots of dull meetings with professionals! Our first event will be for 10 young people on 12 October: we will be using VR headsets, art and sport to engage children in the workshop, but will get feedback from the children and young people about what they like.”
